Santiago, Pinot Noir, Chile
Pinot Noir is a winemakers nightmare because it is thin-skinned making it prone to splitting on the vine or being susceptible to disease. If looked after correctly however Pinot Noir is responsible for some of the finest wines in the world. This is because the light nature of the wine is often balanced by an earthy layer in the background.
Chile is one of our favourite wine-producing countries of the world as they offer real value for money and Santiago is a perfect example of this.
