Valerie Goustan looks after her 6 hectares of vines in the village of Ville-sur-Arce in the Cote des Bar. The business was established in 1997 with her now ex-husband Thierry de Marne, and following their separation in 2007 Valrie went solo, renaming her wine Val Frison. Certified biodynamic since 2003, the wines undergo neither filtering nor fining and there are no added suphites. The Goustan is 100% Pinot Noir, spending 6 months in casks on the lees followed by 19 months sur latte, whereby the Champagne is aged in cellar to increase complexity. This is a very dry style of Champagne that further goes to show the confidence Val has in her grapes. Boutique and beautiful Champagne.
