Domaine Larue, Puligny Montrachet Le Trezin, Burgundy, France
This wine is a real treat!
A stunning example of top-quality white Burgundy. A touch more minerality than its new world counterparts with very gentle use of oak. Only 6,000 bottles are made every year from some 65-year-old vines, this is a small producer really taking their time to create some gorgeous wine.
Subtle on the nose but this is to be expected for oaky chardonnay. On the palate, you get some fresh lemon and grapefruit followed by some tasty butter, vanilla and toast. The finish is super long!
