Château de Pocé, Touraine, Sauvignon Blanc, Loire Valley, France
The Chateau de Poce vineyards enjoy a southerly aspect overlooking the Loire River. On the opposite north bank is the Chateau d'Amboise, the well known and beautiful Renaissance royal castle of King Francis I and his friend Leonardo da Vinci.
Pale gold in colour. A complex nose showing fruit and floral aromas - grapefruit and orange blossom. The palate is rich with citrus fruits and tangy minerality. A great alternative to Sancerre. This aromatic and expressive dry white wine is made from 100% sauvignon blanc grapes, grown on the typical terriors of clay and sand found in the Loire Valley.
