Jean-Paul Deville is a family-owned estate in Champagne, founded in 1969. They own most of their vineyards (around 20 hectares) but buy in a small number of grapes from growers under contract.
Their vineyards are situated throughout the Champagne region with some in the Cotes des Blancs (Chardonnay vines on limestone and chalk) whilst the Pinot Noir vines are on clay-limestone.
The nose has intensity with initial aromas of pear, biscuits and limestone, with aeration the aromas appear more profound; melted butter and mushrooms. The first impression in the mouth is dynamic with vivacity. The finish has freshness and is well balanced.
