We have fallen in love with this little Sicilian wine. Over the past 100 years Sicily has been responsible for producing amazing fortified wines (Marsala) and stunning sweet wines (Pantelleria). On the other hand, it has also been responsible for contributing to bulk wines made in the north of Italy but is now making up for lost time.
The climate is hot and as grape growing and winemaking techniques have improved so have the quality of wines. Made with grapes grown with total respect for nature and hand-picked only when perfectly ripe. The Irmàna is Frappato and wine is light-bodied but has a rich flavour with aromas and taste of maraschino cherry and rose.
