Getaria Txakolina's are traditionally dry, with a searing acidity (but don’t let that put you off); they are the perfect accompaniment to fish and seafood. That said, their acidity is slightly less pronounced than the wines of their neighbours.
This wine is also slightly sparkling, giving them a tingly feeling on the finish (think higher quality, Vinho Verde). So that is why a pourer is included with the wine enabling it to be distributed from a height to soften it down (give it a go - a fun party trick). This wine is just so damn easy to slip down with food and shouldn’t be analysed too much it should just be wildly enjoyed - the only problem is the more you have it the more you want!
